Kitchen renovation

So we have started the task of renovating our kitchen. We are doing this all ourselves, except the big bits like plumbing etc.

So far we have removed all the cupboards and drawer faces to paint them. Austin and Bruno think this is great because they can put there heads in and see whats in the cupboards. I have to wash everything before I use it.



We started this last weekend and while painting the neighbour gave us some paua fritters. Yum yum - a nice break from the painting.






We have had the new oven in for a while now. Brandon and Eddie built a new housing unit for it so now we are just in the painting phase. Soon we'll have the cupboards and drawer faces back on. Then its on to picking out a new kitchen bench top. The wooden blinds have been ordered and a new cooktop will be coming shortly.

I can't wait till the kitchen has been done. It has a tired old fashioned look to it so sprucing it up a bit should make cooking more enjoyable and a more creative place to be.
